Just a click Away was a Re-entry Project (ReP) in fulfilment of the requirements of Public Management Development  Program (PMDP) at the Development Academy of the Philippines(DAP). The project had a concept of an Online Senior High School (SHS) Report Card System in Public Schools.It was a first of its kind project in the Department  of Education(DepEd)  with the influence of the first time implementation of the K to 12 SHS Program in the entire history of the agency, the addition of two years in basic education. This ReP was conceptualized to specifically improve the current manual report  card system, one of the front line services of DepEd to its stakeholders. The main purpose of the project was the development  of a customized computer program and its deployment  in the website of the host agency  through the internet to make the report  cards accessible to users anywhere and any time. Its long-term goal was to replicate  the said system to other secondary schools in the Philippines which are offering SHS program after its successful implementation  at the pilot school. While the expected outputs of the project were the delivery of a project design, printed copy of operating and user manual, installation of a functioning computer system, the orientation  of all end-users  and office orders. The project provided a comparison of the current report card system against the proposed system where automation, process streamlining and on line process  were empahsized. With the implementation  of  the proposed system, it depicted  five characteristic.First was, its being collaborative between and among the stakeholders during the consultation, focused group discussions, and orientations.The second was its relevance most especially to parents or guardians who are working abroad or outside Baguio City and or those who cannot physically go to the school during card giving. The third was, its innovative in nature in the sense that it incorporated the use of ICT and internet. The fourth was its visibility since it was already linked to www.depedpines.com, the website of the host agency with a domain name SHSRepordCardSystem and is also researchable  in any web browser. Most importantly, it showed its being citizen-centric for the reason that the program was for all the public school stakeholders. Further, there were evident benefits tot he end-users from this project. Practically, there was the improvement of the customer services through faster and easier report  card information  dissemination for better monitoring and decision making by the learners and their parents or guardians. Another benefit was the result of more accurate, efficient, and effective operational system for the teachers and administrators that led to an increase in their productivity. Apparently, there was a reduction of travel times and or congestion during card giving on weekends at the classrooms which also decreased some related expenses of the school. Its pilot school was the SHS of Baguio City High School (BCHS)  in Baguio City which has  520 SHS learners and their parents or guardians,28 SHS teachers, one head teacher, and non-teaching staffs who were all headed  by a school principal. The project has materialized with funds provided by the regular Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses(MOOE) subsidy of the agency. As a result, all the deliverables were produced and all the activities were conducted within the implementation  period and the ReP created a big difference in the report card system.Currently, more accurate report cards are accessible anywhere at a real time upon the uploading and approval of the grades. However, it may still be viewed any time after a faster and easier performance by the more effective and efficient computer system.
