But studies showed that morbidity control is efficiently achieved through mass drug administration. The study aims to use enhanced community involvement during mass drug administration as a tool in decreasing the prevalence of Schistosomiasis in Burgos, Surigao del Norte. This is a descriptive-quantitative applied research study that measured the effect of community involvement in improving the current Schistosomiasis situation by using the percentage treatment coverage of mass drug administration and Schistosomiasis prevalence rate of the area as quantitative parameters. The desired outcome was not achieved because of Difficulties encountered during the implementation which affected community involvement during the implementation. A further decrease in the MDA coverage resulted to an increase in the prevalence rate of the municipality, thereby suggesting that there is an inversely proportional relationship between the two, and that the hypothesis that engaging community involvement would improve SPCP indicators is likely to be true ER -
