520 _aThis RE-Entry Project was conceptualized to provide a solution to the problem of the inability of the office to service at the shortest possible time the information requirements of its internal and external clients when requested. To remedy the Performance Gap, a study was made to evaluates if there were gaps in the policies and procedures on records management implemented in DBP. Corollary to thus, an information dissemination was conducted on the importance of properly determining the value of records. Moreover, each Bank Unit was requested to accomplish a Knowledge Map with the end-objective of knowing where a certain information can be obtained when needed. These actions were done to assist the Board of directors and Top Management in their decision-making. The assumption is that if the Board of Directors and Top Management will have quick access on accurate and vital information needed in their decision-making, there will be more quality loans that will be approved and quality investments that will be made. As a result, DBP will gain more profits resulting in high dividends that will be remitted to the National Government. Then the National Government will have more money to fund the construction of school buildings, bridges and roads, and its other priority projects. The following are the Deliverables that were accomplished in the 3-month implementation period of the ReP: 1. Conducted a review and evaluation of the existing policies and procedures on records management and identified the gap/s. 2. Crafted a policy and its implementing guidelines to enhance records management in DBP; 3. Recommended the enhancement of the format of the Quality Records Retention Matrix most suited to the requirements of the Bank and a regulatory agency; and 4. Conducted an information dissemination or briefing on the importance of records management in some Bank Units.
