Ensuring the release of retirement benefits of uniformed BJMP retirees within a month from their actual date of retirement by revising the processes in acquiring documentary requirements / Romeo L. Villante, Jr.
Description: 84 leavesSubject(s): Dissertation note: Public Management Development Program Middle Managers Class (MMC) Batch 2: Habi Thesis (MMC)--Development Academy of the Philippines. Summary: Retirement is the final stage of a public servant's active duty but the beginning of another challenge as a private citizen. Retirement concludes the fruitful career of a worker who is thus expectant to be given a dose of pampering from the employer-agency which naturally, is the immediate release of his/her retirement, a penultimate act of recognizing his/her contribution in realizing the agency's goals. Republic Act No. 10154 or otherwise known as An Act Requiring All Concerned Government Agencies to Ensure the Early Release of Retirement Pay, Pensions, Gratuities and Other Benefits of Retiring Government Employees, mandates that within thirty (30) days from the date of retirement of the employee, all retirement benefits should have been released. In line with this, this Re-entry Project has been pursued to identify possible gaps or problems that hinder the immediate release of retirements benefits by reviewing and identifying the different supporting documents that appear to be redundant or unnecessary and can be assumed by the Morale & Welfare Division thru its Liaison Officer as one of the alternative interventions, while the other is the possibility of revising or amending the retirement procedure. A monitor of the retirees who have received their retirement benefits in 2013 was done in order to determine and compare whether or not the release of retirement benefits has improved after the re-entry project implementation. The larger goal however of this project is to continuously look into other causes that hinder the early release of retirement benefits and to remedy the same to attain a one hundred percent (100%) target as required by the law.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
