President Benigno S. Aquino once said "Kayo Ang Boss Ko". This phrase literally emphasizes the essence of government which is public service. Henceforth, it clearly drives a message to us that as government servants we are mandated by virtue of our office to provide the general public with nothing but the best of service. The "Matuwid Na Daan" watchword calls all government agencies to practice the virtues of good governance, transparency and accountability in government operation. The Department of Trade and Industry's slogan is "Enabling Business, Empowering Consumers.' To achieve such goal, we have to know the needs of the citizenry to be able to provide appropriate interventions in a fast and efficient manner. "Ramdam ka ba ni Juan?" now becomes "Ramdam na ramdam ka ni Juan," an indication that such objective was achieved. To deliver better and faster government services, DTI Davao has to devise a mechanism using information technology. With e-Governance, we improved interactions with business industry, empowered citizen through access to information, increased efficiency in government management and operation, less corruption, higher level of transparency, greater convenience, revenue growth, and reduced cost to both the government and the private sectors. The DTI Davao e-Gov Portal will serve as the primary channel for communicating with the citizenry and within the organizations. It will also serve as a electronic service delivery platform and as a management tool to help improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. This will redound to the attainment of DTI-XI's bottom line targets of generating more investments, increasing exports, creating more jobs, developing more MSMEs and achieving 100% client satisfaction level.
