Summary: Designing an intervention that address the problem in treatment compliance among hypertensive patients is crucial in attaining better health outcome, hence the role of community support group has been probed in its effect in treatment compliance. Hypertensive patients ages 20 years old and above of Loreto, Dinagat province has been tracked and closely monitored in this study. Document analysis, key informant interview and focus group discussion were employed in this project which resulted to the information of the community who are the chosen key members because of their role and influence in the community. There were 191 hypertensive patients identified, wherein 85 (44.5%) are non-compliant to maintenance medication. However, during program implementation there were gaps overlooked by the researcher which resulted to formation only of the core community support group but non-established community support group in every barangays which is mainly due to delayed legislation but strategies are being proposed in order to sustain the program.
