520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The PSA, as a government agency, struggles to address the inquiries of the public on civil registration through various media available. Apparently, the rapid increase of internet usage among the populace resulted in the emergence of another channel of communication, the social media. Recognizing this, the Re-entry Project (ReP) intends to address the growing need for the public to have access to the right information on civil registration through the establishment of a technology-driven facility that likewise promotes public engagement on the discussion of civil registration matters. The Online Public Management Information System for Civil Registration (OPISCR) is the outcome of the development project. The project deliverable resulted in three key platforms: the core document management system, the social media interface, and the help desk, all of which are achieved during the three-month implementation period of the ReP. The document management system is the core of the OPISCR. It integrates various deliverables of the ReP namely, the faceted search, directory management, sample forms, frequently asked questions, and the petition tracking system into a solid application for the public to access. Addressing the needs of the netizens, the project used Facebook to promote and disseminate civil registry processes, procedures, and announcements. In conjunction with the social media presence, the ReP used Facebook Messenger to provide frontline service as civil registration help desk. Taking advantage of these social media platforms provides an efficient and cost-effective communications avenue for both the public and the PSA. With the right system now in place, sustainability of the operation is the next key step. The proponent recommends that the Civil Registration Service take over the project, incorporate the new processes presented to their regular workload, and eventually institutionalize the system to all stakeholders. To further enhance the system and for continual improvement, it is likewise proposed that collection, recording, and analysis of all feedback gathered through the civil registration system social media account be done on a regular basis, results of which must serve as additional input in the agency's planning activities on civil registration matters.
