| Summary, etc. | The Juan Click NSO Info Center is a pilot project established at NSO Cagayan provincial ofice, Tuguegarao Citythatcaters on the dissemination of products and services of NSO and other government offices. It also provides for the needs of local planners and the puclic as it showcase information at the barangay level through the Barangay Database system(BarDats) and the availability of microdata for the generation of data needs and accessibiloty of statistics at the local level. The center has four componets, the Household-based Statistics, Industry based Statistics, Civil Registration and the Solemnizing Officers Information System. These components will be integrated to have a full blown info center called the "Juan Click: NSO Info Center. The "Juan" represents the people while the "click" connotes easy access. Juan click means anybody(Juan or Juana) can avail of the system or avail of the data because of its simplicity and accessibility. The re-entry project of the undersigned focused on the dissemination of the first component which is the household-based statistics. It features the availability and accessibility of NSO data as a product of the information center. The innovative feature of the first component is the establishment of a sub project which is the NSO Barangay Database System (BarDats) and generation of data needs from microdata through the Census and Surveys Processing (CSPros.) The BarDatS is a system that caters to the accessibility of information derived from the Census of Population at the local level. It was designed for those, non computer literate and for those one-time researcher, meaning those who are not heavy users of data. For those frequent data users, they can generate their own data need from the microdata using the CSPro. It also focused on the simplification of procedures in providing the public options in accessing NSO data through various means like text,call,Facebook, email and others. |
