520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The information revolution has resulted in more people having faster access to more accurate data than ever before. Both the public and law enforcement practitioners expect agency information systems to respond quickly with an enhanced ability to recognize crime patterns and problem areas. As a result, law enforcement agencies need to improve their information systems to better analyze and use the data they collect. Information and Communication Technology offers the law enforcement community a description of what information system technologies are available and information to help determine and how to incorporate them into the agency's day to day tasks and operation with key considerations in developing strategies and implementation plan/s. The rationale of this ReP is to look at the current situation of the National Drug Information System (NDIS) and what are the deficiencies that results to information gap and failure in monitoring of cases and drug operations. This ReP is also intended to address the issues and concerns of the NDIS and how Information and Communication Technology can act as a tool in improving and developing the function and process of the said system. This ReP not only identifies what is necessary but to be enhanced but it also has to satisfy and meet the criteria of being Citizen-Centric, Collaborative, Innovative a& Relevant and most of all Visible to the public.
