520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The Re-Entry Project (ReP) entitled "The Role of Education Stakeholders in the Construction/ Repair/ Rehabilitation of Water and Sanitation Facilities" was based on the present condition of our School System on water and sanitation facilities and the need to recognize the school children's right to a clean and healthy school environment. It was aimed at strengthening the implementation of the School Based Management (SBM) in a Deprived, Depressed, and Undeserved (DDU) elementary school by enabling the School Head (SH ) and the School Governing Council (SGC) in involving all education stakeholders especially those surrounding the public elementary school, including pupils, teachers, parents and community/ barangay people through collaboration and cooperation known as the "Bayanihan" spirit. The ReP is characterized as citizen-centric since the recipients of the ReP are the school children in a remote, deprived, depressed and undeserved school, the Maamot Elemntary School in the Municipality of San Jose, Tarlac. It is also Collaborative since the successful implementation of the ReP is due to the collaborative efforts and cooperation of all the education stakeholders (teachers, parents, community people, LGU, NGO , SCO etc.) The ReP is also relevant because it addresses the shortage of water and sanitation facilities at Maamot Elementary School, a DDU school, which is a very important but often neglected issue for public health in every public school in the Philippines. Through the Bayanihan spirit, an innovative efforts of the School Governing Council (SGC), the teachers, the LGU, the CAFGU and the community people with the leadership of the School Head and the guidance and technical assistance of the proponent of the ReP, working together, were able to generate Seventy Two Thousand Seven Hundred seven Pesos (Php 72,707) in cash and in kind and Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty (2,120) man-hours of labor works for the construction/repair/rehabilitation of the classroom toilets and the Principal's office toilet within a three-month period. Nine (9) toilets were constructed/repaired/rehabilitated at Maamot Elementary School. The result is a visible manifestation of the collaborative efforts and cooperation of the school stakeholders. The Re-Entry Project is the best project which is brought to the grassroots levels, and this is a transparent evidence that DepEd Tarlac Province extends its quality service to any part of the Division Covering its elementary and secondary schools.
