Summary, etc. The end of Millennium Development Goal in 2015 did not end the fight for better maternal health status in most countries including the Philippines. The battle continued in the form of Sustainable Development Goals no. 3. In the municipality of Maria Aurora, a priority area called Canili Area or simply Canili has low maternal hearth service utilization though they have a birthing facility in the area and one barangay health station per barangay. The specific maternal heath service coverage indicators covered in the study is facility-based delivery, contraceptive prevalence rate and 4 antenatal care. The study investigated on the barriers of maternal health service utilization through the four dimensions of access. Focus group discussions were utilized to look into both the demand side and supply side of access. The study also make use of key informant interviews, informal interviews, direct observation and document analysis to identify gaps in the local health system. The identified barriers and gaps were analyzed to formulate different interventions to improve the maternal health status in Canili Area collectively termed as Maternal Health Care Interventions. Improvement in maternal health service coverage was noted after implementation of formulated interventions. The contraceptive prevalence rate increasedf by 66.64% while the facility-based deliveries increased by 10.72% and the 4 antenatal care increased by 24.18%. Recommendations were also given for the sustainability of the Implemented Maternal Health Care Interventions.
