Summary, etc. | A study in designing a community based drug rehabilitation among the drug reformist is better understood by investigating the extent of their needs in terms of their demographic, medical, employment, alcohol/drug use, legal, family/social and psychiatric profile materials existing community based drug rehabilitation programs aims to validate and concur the results of the study. In terms of priority, the family/social profile recorded the highest need at thirty six percent (36%), closely followed by the employment profile at thirty five percent (35%). The third and fourth need in terms of priority intervention include the alcohol/drug use (29.33%), medical profile (24.67%), respectively. The least areas in need of intervention include legal profile (15.67%) and the psychiatric profile (10.67%). Hence, priority areas needing intervention should cover the family/social, employment profile and alcohol/drug use in designing the community based drug rehabilitation program, of Caraga particularly Barangay Poblacion. Through the partnership component, partnership between health and every stakeholder to community based drug rehabilitation, mot especially in the Barangay Anti Drug Abuse Council, were strengthened. The role and responsibility of every actor is delineated. A resolution adopting the Community Based rehabilitation and After care of the Municipal Anti Drug Abuse Council Barangay Anti Drug Abuse Council, and endorsing to the Sangguniang Bayan for approach action, is an example of success of this strategy. Hence, efforts to conduct these activities is of crucial importance for the drug reformist of barangay Poblacion. |
