520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Armed conflict is an ongoing crisis that many countries, including the Philippines, are experiencing today. Access to and quality of health care services are one of the aspects greatly affected b this continuing conflict. Health care workers are faced with an ever bigger challenge of delivering effective service to the people because of the threat to their safety and well being. There are currently no guidelines on how to effectively provide healthcare to these areas unlike other organization like the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). A qualitative and contextual approach was utilized to explore this issue. Interviews and focus group discussions to healthcare workers in Maco, Compostela Valley were done to gather information on their practices to deliver a more accessible and quality services to the people. It is evident that the Safer Access framework of ICRC could be adapted and contextualized in the Philippines to effectively deliver health care services to the people and at the same time ensure the safety of the healthcare workers. Keywords conflict areas, guidelines, healthcare workers.
