Summary: The Department of Education (DepEd) is mandated to provide quality basic education. This mandate emanated from the provisions in the Philippine Constitution which states the obligation of the state to protect and promote the quality of education and to establish and maintain free public education to elementary and high school levels. (Article IV-1987 Constitution of the Philippines). The quality education stated in the constitution also referred to the quality of service that DepEd provides to the people: the teachers, students and the community it serves. The students, being the center of all the department programs and projects rely much on the quality of service that they get from the department. But they don't get enough because of some problems that confront the agency, the problem in teacher deployment. The e-Deploy: A Model for Efficient Deployment of Public School Teachers in Schools Division of Science City of Munoz, is a re-entry Projects aims to improve the teacher deployment system of the Division by employing information and communication technology. It seeks to advance the services it offers to its stakeholders particularly the teachers, through proper deployment, and the students by giving them the teachers they really need. All of these can be done by and through the participation of all School ICT Coordinators, and the Project Team involved. With the implementation of e-deploy, generation of teacher need by school is no longer a problem. The system, based on the data input will generate the information with regard to school's teacher needs. Ultimately, the project e-Deploy, shall serve as the coup de grace of the long-time problem in deployment of teachers of the Division of Science City of Munoz. It shall serve as the one-stop electronic hub of teacher deployment where school principals, ICT Coordinators and all the involved parties on teacher deployment can access or view all information associated with enrollment and teacher needs.
