Summary: San Quintin ranked number 6 out of 27 municipalities in undernutrition in the year 2014. Such increase in prevalence resulted in an intensive nutrition campaign implementation, headed by the Municipal Nutrition Council. This is a qualitative descriptive and comparative study which aims to determine how to develop a Localized PABASA sa Nutrisyon based on the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of Mothers in Brgy. Palang, San Quintin, Abra. Studies were limited to the vulnerable groups of population in Brgy. Palang, San Quintin, Abra which includes pregnant, lactating and mothers with malnourished children. Assessment of the local Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices and the factors that affects suck KAPs were done through the use of Malnutrition Data and Pre test. Validation if data were done through surveys, First Hand Inspection, post test and Focused Group Discussions FGD. Development of Localized PABASA sa Nutrisyon were based on the situational analysis of the community, the KAPs of mothers and Focused Group Discussions. Improvements as to Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices were observed to those mothers who underwent Localized PABASA sa Nutrisyon. At the end of the study, it was concluded that Implementation of Localized PABASA sa Nutrisyon in 5 sessions, improves Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of Mothers, the same way or much better compared with the Original PABASA sa Nutrisyon that is facilitated in 10 sessions.
