Tailor fitting the intervention to areas and populations is important for project sustainability. The goal of this study, is the development of a prevention, advocacy and communication framework for HIV/AIDS to address the increasing number of infected individual in Lingig, Surigao del Sur. Specifically, this study will determine the current level of awareness of Lingiganos on HIV/AIDS I terms of age, sex, civil status, and educational attainment through a survey questionnaire based on the rapid assessment for vulnerability on HIV. To determine possible factors affecting level of awareness and the interventions that can be done to address the issues on level of awareness. Data was gathered through survey questionnaires and secondary data. Consolidation of the data was done. Analysis and interpretation through percentage was used in this study. As a result, it was found out that level of education has great effect in the level of awareness of respondents. A information and education campaign (IEC) team, composed of representatives from the Office of the Mayor, MDRRMO, Lingig MHO and Birthing Facility, SB Office, PNP and BFP was created and IEC in the barangays was done.
