Summary: This Re- entry project entitled Project TraBaHO (Training the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Learners for Better and Holistic Opportunities) was conducted in the municipality of Basco, province of Batanes. The ReP 1.) organized, installed and capacitated the Project TraBAHO Core Team; 2.) conducted Skills Mapping for Relevant Livelihood Skills Training among ALS Learners in the district of Basco, Batanes; 3.) forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with he Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) and the six(6) barangays of Basco, Batanes for ReP institutionalization; and 4.) trained 69 ALS/Adult learners in the District of Basco from December 2013 to February 15, 2014. The toatl budget spent was One Hundred Forty Six Thousand Thwo Hundred Forty pesos (P 146,243.00). Project TrABaHO is aligned with DepEd's attainment of the Major Final Outputs(MFO) whcih provided equal access to quality basic education among learners regardless of status and capabilities. The main beneficiaries of the project were the ALS learners, adult and unemployed parents who have children int he formal school. It was a collaborative effort because the proponent had worked closely witht he LGU of Basco, Batanes and the six (6) barangays for funding support as well as TESDA Provincial Office for the provision of accredited assessors and trainers. The project had direct impact on the lives of the ALS learners who ere trained with lifelong learning skills for livelihood in the future. This project satisfied the ReP characteristics of citizen-centric,collaborative, relevant and innovative, and visible.
