Climate change is one of the most talked about issues in our society nowadays but few initiatives, adaptations and mitigation measures have been materialized. Climate change adaptations (CCA) in local government unit are seldom seen through national policies are already available. This APP came into mind when the researcher was deployed into his area of assignment during the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) and witnessed the side effects of natural disasters caused by climate change in addition to the MNCH status of the municipality. Thus, the researcher find ways to integrate climate change adaptation into maternal and child health. A tree for a Child Program, a form of climate change adaptation by health sector (CCAH) is an innovative way of introducing environmental protection and awareness through maternal, neonatal and child health program. Moreover, this paper measures the perception, knowledge, gaps and practices of the people in the community about climate change and health. Policy instruments such as resolution, memorandum of agreement, executive order and municipal ordinance were successful through this program. This paper also targets to improve MDG 4, 5 and 7 in the municipality through a multi sectoral approach with consideration on sustainable development. Document analysis, focus group discussion, key informant interview and survey through questionnaires were employed in this APP. Hence, this paper has been successful in integrating climate change adaptation into maternal and child health improving the MNCH and the environmental status as well as KAP of people in Culasi, Antique.
