Review of records show that the most common cause of immunization failure was transient residence in the island. Survey among mothers indicated lack of information specifically fear of side reactions as the most common reasons why their child is not fully immunized before reaching one year old. Thus, this study came up with the following objectives considered first, to identify the gaps in the implementation of EPI in Almagro in terms of the six building block of health system seconds, to evaluate current intervention in the implementation of the program and third, to implement measures that can be used to enhance the immunization coverage and compliance of infants 0 11 months old in the municipality. For the first objective, the gaps in terms of the building blocks was done by assessing the indicators inherent to each building block. Current strategies were assessed through observation and documentation during immunization activities and Barangay visits. Guided by the conceptual framework, the Problem tree and research results, strategies were formulated with the goal of enhancing the implementation if EPI and thereby increasing the Percentage FIC in the municipality. Gaps identified in the implementation of the program include poor support and lack of policy, no specific allocated budget for immunization, lack of supportive supervision and benefits foe health workers, manual recording and delayed generation of reports, inadequate strategy for immunization service delivery, and no established logistics. Current strategies include Reaching Every barangay Strategy done monthly. House visits are practiced rarely, and no defaulter tracking and monitoring system is being used. Lack of health education practices was also observed. A tri modal intervention was formulated in this research to improve the Percentage FIC in the municipality. The thrusts of the interventions formulated addresses the three domains of t6he immunization program. The four strategic thrusts are 1. Improving the health seeking behavior of the clients 2.
