Description: 64 leaves : illustrationsSubject(s): Online resources: Dissertation note: Public Management Development Program Middle Managers Class Batch 3 Thesis (MMC)--Development Academy of the Philippines. Summary: This Re-entry Project (REP) aims to develop among stakeholders of the PNP a deep sense of awareness, active involvement, and unequivocal support to the organization's plans, programs, and activities (PPAs) especially in crime prevention and crime solution through a tool that integrates existing and future information system services of the organization into one mobile application called "PNP Connect". The application features were designed to provide direct access and increase in participation of clients/citizens in crime reporting by integrating the "Isumbong Mo Kay Tsip" text hotline, the PNP Telephone Directory, and the link to social media platforms of the PNP. Anyone can report/raise their concerns and issues directly to the concerned unit having authority or jurisdiction over the matter-either crime-related or complaints towards erring PNP personnel. By posting the PPAs of the PNP in one of its features, it also supplements the existing presence of the PNP in quad media in promoting the agency's strategic initiatives and other information dissemination activities. It promotes transparency in the processes of its services by integrating the Citizen Charter of the different frontline services of the agency and likewise promotes active collaboration with the community through the link to the different social media platforms of every unit. This REP has the following identified outputs: 1. The PNP Connect Mobile application, the implementation of which was divided into two (2) phases: first, is the development of the application under the android operating system while the second, is the development of cross-platform application for other operating systems. 2. Communications Plan (COMPLAN) for the "PNP Connect" mobile application for a well-planned, coordinated, synchronized, and concerted efforts to instill awareness, solicit involvement and develop commitment of all stakeholders towards the successful information dissemination and sustainability of the application. During the period of REP implementation, the project reached the level of approval from DICTM, a unit that regulates ICT-related projects for PNP after the series of consultations were conducted. The application's platform is designed to cater future Information System initiatives of the PNP to further enhance its capability to provide the community with in-depth understanding, awareness, and sense of ownership towards this endeavor.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
