Summary: The ICT4Ed: The High Tech Teachers in Malaybalay City is a Re-Entry Project (ReP) designed to enhance basic education services through improved quality teaching and learning using ICT integration in the public schools. It introduces strategies and innovative solutions that intensify implementation of the DePEd COmputerization Program (DCP) pursuant to DepEd Order No. 78, series of 2010 and optimize ICT integration in the public schools system. It produces four (4) deliverables, such as: approved 3-year School ICT Integration Development Plan and ICT4Ed Results Monitoring Strategy (Deliverable 1), approved Guidelines on the Search for the Best Practices and Outstanding Implementers on ICT integration in the Public Schools (Deliverable 2), developed ICT4Ed Digital Library Portal and interactive IMs (initial contents only) (Deliverable 3), and approved project proposal and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the pilot establishment of the Community ICT4Ed Learning Center (Deliverable 4). The ICT4Ed Project Team led the implementation of the ReP. Deliverable 1 is a contextualized and research-based plan with customized ICT strategies and results monitoring strategy appropriate to the prevailing and diverse conditions of the schools. Schools are capacitated to develop and implement their own Plan. This impacts ICT development on education. Deliverable 2 provides the systematic, evidence-based and participatory mechanisms and procedures for the identification, evaluation, and recognition of the best practices and outstanding implementers on ICT integration in the public schools. It institutionalizes the implementation of the ReP at the SDO-level. It impacts ReP sustainability. Deliverable 3 is a digital learning resource system that utilizes the digital library as the central storage of the quality-assured interactive IMs developed by the teachers. It capacitates teachers to improve their teaching and learning delivery in the classroom. This impacts ICT development, curriculum management and development, inclusive quality basic education, and improved academic performance. Deliverable 4 is a collaborative project that engages the community and other stakeholders to share responsibility and provide e-learning services in the community. It empowers the stakeholders to support basic education. It impacts learners and community development. The ReP introduces citizen-centric strategies that improve quality teaching and learning using ICT in the classroom. It is relevant to the agency's mandate, vision, mission, core values, OPIF, KRA, and strategic objectives. The ReP provides innovative solutions appropriate to the diverse conditions of the schools. It engages collaborative partnerships with the stakeholders in providing e-learning services. The ReP produces visible results through the four (4) deliverables completed within the ReP implementation period. The ReP produced deliverables that enhance the quality teaching and learning process in the classroom, improve academic performance, promote inclusive quality education and life-long opportunities, and produce quality and globally competitive graduates. The ReP will result to enhanced access to quality basic education and life-long opportunities (organizational outcome), improve human capabilities responsive to the 21st dentury and reduced vulnerabilities through equitable access of quality education (sectoral goal), and ensured poverty reduction and quality employment (societal goal). It will significantly impact sustainable development in the country. The ReP will be sustained through its Recommendations and Development Plan. The ICT4Ed Project Team will sustain the ReP implementation with Competence, Integrity, and Commitment to ensure that the DepEd's ICT Vision is realized, that is, "21st Century Education for All Filipinos, Anytime, Anywhere".
