Description: vi, 90 leaves : illustrationsSubject(s): Dissertation note: Public Management Development Program. Middle Managers' Class. Thesis (MMC)--Development Academy of the Philippines. Summary: The low awareness of information on solemnization of marriages may lead to violation of laws/rules and regulation by Solemnizing Officers (SO) resulting to void or voidable marriages. The low information on solemnization of marriages can also lead to delay in processing of Certificate for the Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM), which can result to void/voidable marriages if Solemnizing Officer continues with solemnization without the CRASM. This is a critical area of concern of the stakeholders. By providing a more effective information dissemination strategy on solemnization of marriage and other marriage related matters, the level of awareness and understanding of SOs and public will increase and their appropriate action may eventually reduce the violation of laws/rules/regulations on marriage and number of void/voidable marriages. Thereby, a public information center that provides information related to solemnization of marriage needs to be established. The Re-Entry Project (REP) which proposes a JuanClick Information Center is a strategy to provide high awareness in a more comprehensive, sufficient and user-friendly web-based linking the Solemnizing Officer Information System (SOIS). JuanClick Information Center hopes to bridge the gap of information particularly for the solemnization of marriages. It will provide a one stop venue for accessing available information of products and services of the National Statistics Office (NSO). Particularly, the JuanClick Information Center Component 4 focuses on providing information on matter relating to solemnization of marriages and other marriage related information. With the JuanClick Information Center, easier access to relevant information related to solemnizing officer.and marriages is provided to the stakeholders and public. This REP is one of the four (4) components of a public information center envisioned by the scholar and will be referred to as JuanClick Information Center. It aims to provide a one step venue for easy and accessible information on all of NSO's products and services to its clientele on solemnization of marriages. The first 2 components focus on (1) statistics on household-based statistics and its micro data; (2) Industry-based statistics and its micro data; and (3) civil registration. This REP is component 3 and focuses on the preparation and organization of information sources, and installation of public information center on the solemnization of marriages in the country. Upon the completion and individual implementation, the said four |(4) components of the project will eventually consolidated to cover all information NSO has in its repository, to be installed in all NSO regional and provincial offices. For the three-month REP implementation, NSO Negros Oriental in Region 7 will be considered as the pilot province for JuanClick Information Center. Insights and learning are discussed in this paper and recommendation will be suggested by the scholar to make the information center effective and sustainable that would benefit all the stakeholders continuously.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
